摘要:In this talk, I'll first give a brief introduction to Maxwell's equations and metamaterials. Then I'll talk about the FDTD (finite-difference time-domain) method recently developed for solving metamaterial Maxwell's equations. We focus on the explicit scheme (i.e., the famous Yee scheme) and show how to develop this scheme from finite element point of view.
Numerical stability and optimal error estimate are proved.  Numerical
results supporting our analysis will be presented. Finally, we will mention
our recent extensions to  an implicit scheme, high-order compact difference and ADI scheme.
